Daily Success Plan

Today I’m doing something a little different.  Rather than writing an article as I usually do, I’m challenging myself to blog in shorter stints more frequently, and share more from a personal perspective.

What better topic to write about than how I create a day of success for myself!

To create daily success, it is important to know what success means to you.  Now it should be said that there are likely as many unique definitions of success as there are unique individuals.  For me, a day of success means that I was present, I served in some way, and I didn’t spend time taking care of things I don’t care about.

For me to have success, I need to know that everything I do has meaning and purpose.  The only way for me to do that is to be present to my experiences and to pay attention to my actions.

Nothing starts my day better than waking from a good night’s rest!  I do my best to get a solid 8 hours of sleep as often as possible.  I believe that a part of us travels to realms of Spirit during the night, so I always make sure to connect to Spirit before going to bed, and to thank  Spirit upon waking.  I’ve developed a relationship with Spirit to such a degree that I can even ask to be awakened at a certain time in the morning, and Spirit graciously obliges!

When I wake, before doing anything else, I express gratitude to my Spirit guides for being with me, and for granting me the opportunity to grow, develop and serve during the day ahead.  This simple gesture of gratitude is probably the single greatest tool for setting the tone for a great day!  It doesn’t hurt to invite Spirit to join you in your day to make it even better.

I have a list of things that are most important to me in life, the things I care most about and the promises I’ve made to myself to take care of those things.  I make a strong effort to keep my day entirely focused on what I care about.  Inevitably, in practicing this, it becomes easier and easier to notice when I’m not aligned with my care.  My energy gets drained, I feel unproductive and aimless, and anxiety builds.

Noticing this becomes a wonderful practice in “letting go.”  When I realize that I’ve been doing things that are not on my “care list,” and that are draining me, I focus on letting go and realigning myself with what matters most to me.  Inevitably, the energy flows again and I’m back on track to success!

What do you care about?

What matters most to you?

Are you paying attention to your daily activities and keeping them aligned with what is important to you?

Do you invite Spirit, a force greater than you alone, to support you in taking care of your day?

May your day be filled with gratitude and fulfillment!

Sharing is caring
